The Social Media Workgroup researches and creates public media nationally and internationally on a temporary and permanent basis.    These projects include the large-scale projection work, Particle Falls which visualized real-time air quality in San Jose California for 6 months in 2010, the works Cloud Car and Breather which communicate the automobile’s impact on air quality and have been presented widely, and developing works E-Oculus and Peer Power.  In addition, the Social Media Workgroup has been principally involved in the ISEA2012 Symposium Albuquerque, Machine Wilderness, which brings international public and social media research to the state of New Mexico and the Southwest region.
